About Skills & Training
Skills and Training are a well-established department within Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council working as part of local authority government to support the local and wider community, by providing high quality training, qualifications and employment opportunities.
Skills and Training are continually building and developing a portfolio of courses, qualifications and programmes of learning for all ages. Skills and Training are a provider of Welsh Government funded programmes such as the Jobs Growth Wales Plus and Apprenticeship programmes, as well as offering curriculum solutions to schools and commercial/bespoke training solutions to business.

Job Growth Wales+ is a learning programme that gives you the skills and experience needed to secure employment or to progress into an Apprenticeship or further learning in the future. Whilst on programme you’ll receive comprehensive support to develop your skills, increase your knowledge and maintain your health and wellbeing.

If you want to get your career going, an Apprenticeship is a great place to start, Volunteering is also available to gain the much needed experience, or try a employment route to help with your employment goals.
